As a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Cox has had the honor of working with Orange County families for over 20 years.
Dr. Cox prides herself on taking an internal medicine approach to pediatric care, structuring each encounter from a systems or problems-based perspective. Viewing each chief complaint as a “puzzle,” she encourages patients and family members to collaborate in the diagnostic and medical decision-making process. She believes in a strong foundation of mutual trust, active listening, and open communication to build rapport and achieve the common goal of health and wellness.
Shaped by profound admiration and deep respect for her father, who was a vascular and general surgeon, she has aspired to emulate his Mid-West work ethic, compassion, dedication, and selflessness.
Dr. Cox earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and went on to complete her pediatric residency training at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where her research focused on post-operative care in surgical patients with congenital heart disease.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Cox loves spending time with her husband, 2 children – Aidan and Keira, and their soft coated wheaten terrier. Although her husband Matt would love for her to take up golf, in her free time, she enjoys strength training, watching scary movies and digesting all things related to true crime.
