Every Friday the Laguna Hills Farmers’ Market sees vendors coming from miles around to offer their scrumptious snacks and handmade creations to our local community. On any given week, you can find freshly picked fruits and veggies, hand-packed nuts and other munchies, as well as several different artisanal products. Be sure to get there early, and come hungry.
Step back in time at the prehistoric playground
Did you know that Laguna Hills was built on a huge fossil site? Show your children a glimpse of our ancient past by visiting Laguna Hills community center. Both Dinosaur Park and Fossil Reef Park boast tons of different fossilized extinct animals. Plus, the prehistoric playground will give your kids a paleo-adventure they won’t soon forget.
Push some pedals on Aliso Creek Trail
Aliso Creek Trail is a stunning tree-lined paved trail that’s perfect for going on a bike ride with the whole family. It’s an easy ride, and your kids may have the chance to spot some of the local wildlife in the area — including squirrels, rabbits, deer, and even bobcats on occasion. If you don’t all have bikes, the trailhead also makes a wonderful hiking route along a babbling brook (during rainy season).
